Abstract

Abstract: The Birch—Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture famously connects the rank of an elliptic curve to the vanishing of its L-function, and one can generalise this conjecture to include Artin twists. I will illustrate a setup where such L-functions are expected to vanish to high order (contrary to minimalism expectations) and discuss the corresponding implications. This is joint with Vladimir Dokchitser.
